Build your practice with us. Own a share of it. Retire on it.
A platform for engineers and allied professionals who want the reach of a licensed firm without losing what they built. Join early, earn ownership as you contribute, and sell it back when you retire.
Why join a platform instead of going it alone
Most small practices stop when the founder stops. Clients drift, staff leave and the goodwill is never paid for. A shared platform keeps the practice going and pays the people who built it.
Practise under a licensed corporation
Work through PE Consultants' PEB-licensed corporate structure, insurance and systems.
Shared work flow
Enquiries from our network of specialist sites, MCSTs, contractors and partner trades.
Equity, not just salary
Earn units from your first years and grow them into shares as a partner.
A buyer at retirement
A member trust buys your shares back at a published formula price, in instalments.
The PEC Partnership Plan: join young, sell old
Modelled on long-standing employee-owned engineering firms such as Arup, which is held in trust for its staff, and Mott MacDonald, where junior staff receive bonus units that earn the same return as shares.
Join
Receive bonus units each year on performance, at no cost. They vest over four years and pay out in line with dividends.
Grow
Convert units into ordinary shares at the formula price and buy more from the trust. Share in profits and in the growth of the firm.
Retire
Sell your shares back to the member trust in tranches over several years, at the same published formula price everyone uses.
Rules that keep it fair
- One published formula price each yearEveryone buys and sells at the same price, based on net assets and average profit. No valuation disputes.
- A reserve that funds retirementsA fixed part of each year's profit goes to the member trust so it can buy from retiring members.
- Clear leaver termsRetirement and ill health are good-leaver events at full price; leaving to compete is not.
- No single point of failureA cap on individual holdings means the firm never depends on one person's exit.
- Members have a voiceA trustee board with an independent trustee, and a members' council that meets twice a year.
The plan is under development. Figures and terms will be set out in a formal trust deed and shareholders' agreement after legal and tax advice. Nothing on this page is an offer of shares or a promise of returns.

One platform, many specialist channels
Members and partners work across PE Consultants' family of specialist sites, each reaching a different client group.
| Channel | Clients reached | Work for members and partners |
|---|---|---|
| qp.sg | Developers, owners, builders | QP design and supervision, structural and geotechnical works |
| endorse.sg | Homeowners, trades | PE endorsement for LEW, plumbing, gas and survey work |
| mcst.sg | MCSTs and managing agents | Building repairs and a service-provider register |
| facade.sg | Building owners | Periodic facade inspection |
| dispute.sg | Law firms, parties to disputes | Expert witness engagements |
| fsc02.sg | Fire safety suppliers | SCDF FSC02 endorsement |
Trade partners stay independent of PE Consultants' equity, so no endorsement is ever given on work in which the firm shares the installer's profit.
Questions
Short answers. We will go into detail in a private discussion.
Do I have to pay to join?
No. Associates receive bonus units at no cost. Partners may choose to buy shares at the formula price; practice owners usually receive shares in exchange for their practice.
How is the share price set?
Once a year, by a published formula based on net assets and average profit. The same price applies to everyone buying or selling that year.
Who buys my shares when I retire?
A member trust funded from annual profits. Payments are made in instalments over several years so the firm stays healthy.
Can the group be sold one day?
Possibly. If members vote for a sale or merger with a larger firm, all members sell on the same terms. Members may equally choose to stay independent and member-owned.
Is registering a commitment?
No. Registering only tells us you would like to talk. Your details are used for that purpose only.
